The gallery is dedicated to exuberance, atmospherics, the light and colour of water and a demonstration of the elixir of imagination in elevating humanity from the tedium of the day to day.

ME (McCubbin Edwards) Art Salon Events presents a night of performance, satire and the occasional profound insight into the Pre- Raphaelites.
A spiritual reincarnation of Sir Kenneth Clarke will guide us through the night. The Pre-Raphaelites' mission to recapture the spirit of art before it became ‘mannerist' will lead us on a journey to ‘who knows where’?
"A practitioner of the vanishing art of the raconteur, David McCubbin is a social anthropologist disguised as a comedian. Channeling the satirical precision of the great music halls and the absurdist lineage of the Tivoli, his work is an improvised dissection of the modern cultural condition. "Whether lampooning the gatekeepers of the art world or observing the slow-motion ‘Big Build’ of the Victorian landscape, McCubbin’s lyrical illustrations and biting oratory serve as a necessary antidote to the sanctimonious age. David reveals it all in simple English and illustrations drawn from life."

ME Art Salon Events presents a fun series of workshops: Unique & intimate drawing classes, hosted by artists David & Katherine, discover your inner Monet! Practical tuition in a range of topics such as, portraiture, perspectives, landscape, maritime. Each session is precluded by a short informative talk on a specific art movement. Followed by a colourful encounter with the practice of art-making. The techniques, the tricks and shortcuts acquired from a lifetime of painting and drawing for a living. Every Thursday in September, 2026. From 6.30pm - 8.30pm, ticket includes a welcome drink (wine). Bring your own drawing pads, tables and chairs and charcoal provided.
